Today was a busy day. I had volleyball after school. We had gotten Monday and yesterday off since we do not have our first States game until next Thursday. I was getting used to coming home nice and early, even if it was only for two days. As soon as I got home today I went out to get some materials to make my friend a birthday present.
Rachel's birthday is on Friday, Halloween. Every year she has friends and family over before the parade and we all go sit with each other and watch the parade. I have been thinking so hard about what to get her. It seems that the older people get the harder it is to get them a present. I have a really good idea; I'm quite excited about it. I've made one of these for myself before, and it turned out great. I don't want to say what it is though. I doubt she'll find my blog in search for what I’m making her, but I’ll be on the safe side.
After I got home from getting the materials I ate and then had to be back at the school for a meeting to plan out the pep rally next week. Rachel was there and I told her I was making her a present. That scared her, mostly because of what I made her last year. Rachel's boyfriend Pete makes a face. He calls it "bunny face" and he absolutely hates it. At North's homecoming last year I took Pete aside so that I could take a picture of him making the face. I was not sure how I was going to use the picture until it got closer to Rachel’s birthday. I bought a pillow and the sheets to iron on pictures from your computer. I blew up the picture of Pete’s face to cover almost the entire side of the pillow. Pete thought the pillow was awesome, and Rachel could not deny it was pretty cool herself. I decided to take it easy on her this year. She'll like this. It's cute.

Halloween Costumes
I'm still a Twilight freak. I finished the third book, Eclipse, today and started the fourth, Breaking Dawn, already. I am not ashamed to admit it. These books are so good. Enough about them though.
We just got back from the consignment shop a little while ago. My sister hadn't even thought about Halloween or a costume yet. I hadn't even noticed it was so soon. We just went there to get some crazy ideas. Our trip reminded me of what I had been for Halloween. One of my favorite costumes was from fourth grade. I was an old lady for Halloween. I wore a pink dress with a ridiculous hat, and I carried around a cane. Here is a picture...
Some of my other costumes have included the pink power ranger, several different witches, a French maid, a zombie doctor, a punk rocker. I haven't gone trick or treating in the last couple of years. I remember last year had a State game for volleyball on trick or treat. We actually got back to Toms River pretty early. It was early enough that I could have met up with my friends to go trick or treating. My dad would not take me to Beachwood to meet up with them though. I ratted him out when my Mom got home. I still remember what she said to him, "You won't take her to go trick or treating. When is she gonna go? When she's 30?"
I got a kick out of that. I might actually dress up in school this year. I have a flapper dress that I bought to wear to Caitin Rys's sweet sixteen sophomore year. This Halloween stuff is exciting.

Twilight
I figured this would be an especially good topic to talk about because Jess and Amber are always mentioning this book in class. My sister started reading Twilight last Saturday. She's only in eighth grade and barely reads. I don't really read other than for school either. Well she finished it on Friday. My family had gone out for dinner and then to a haunted 6 acre corn maze. She finished the book before we even got to the restaurant. I had been meaning to read Twilight as soon as volleyball season was over and I had more time. I brought the book with me to dinner and started reading. At first there was nothing special about it, but something drew me in. I forced my parents to drive with a small light on in the back of our mini van so that i could read on the way to and from the corn maze. I got so wrapped up in the book. I kept reading when I came home. It was 2am before I checked the clock. I had a volleyball tournament that day so I made myself go to sleep. I brought the book with me to the tournament. The only thing that peeled me away from it was having to play the games. When I got home I stayed in my bed the whole night reading. I finally finished around 7pm. My mom had bought the second book, New Moon, for my sister so I snuck into her room and started reading the second book. On Sunday I went out and purchased the 3rd and 4th books, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. I finished the 2nd book Sunday night and started reading the 3rd book after I decided I had down enough homework that I would be able to finish the rest of it in homeroom. These books are so good. I can't keep away from them. I'm already halfway threw the 3rd book. As soon as I came home today I wrote an essay for English so that I wouldn't have any other obligations tonight, and I could read. I'm really scared for when I finished the 4th book. I'm not going to know what to do with myself. I've been so busy in these past couple of months with volleyball and schoolwork and whatnot that it is so nice to be able to pry away some time and fill it with this wonderful fictional world. None of my words can do these books justice, so I won't even attempt. Go read them!

Blog Background
To personalize my blog a little more I have been looking for layouts. I have a myspace so I am pretty handy reguarding finding and changing layouts to fit my personality and page just right. I love my current myspace layout. What I love most about it is that I have tweekes the original so much that I know no one has something remotely similar. I'm so happy with it that any background I find for blogger that I moderately like does not seem good enough. I'll keep working on finding one, but it will probably take quite a while. If anyone knows some really awesome website to look at just send me a link.

Oops
Fun fact about this post. I just wrote about the entire post. It was pretty long because I went on a bit of a rant about the Jonas Brothers. As soon as I was finished I highlighted it all and went to copy it so i could look at it in Word. For some reason it wasn't working. So I tried to copy and paste it by holding down shift and C at the same time. I had to do the same thing last week with my other post. Well I guess I let go of the shift button before I pressed the C key because my entire post went away and was replaced by a single c. I'm still pretty mad. When silly stuff like that happens it just ruins your initiative to post a comment. I'm only writing a new post because I know I'm really behind with this blogging project.
I basically just talked about my love of music. Even though I don't play an instrument or sing I'm a music junkie. I like pretty much every single genre of music with the exception of country. I don't know what it is about county music that I find so bothersome, but there obviously is something about it. I have 35,171 songs on my iTunes. It's pretty crazy because I never know what to listen to. Lately I've been on a 90s kick. I'm listening to the Backstreet Boys right now, and I've been listening to a lot of Third Eye Blind this week. Talking about the Backstreet Boys got me started on bands that have no talent. Bands where people write their songs for them and all they have to do is sing those words into a microphone so that a producer can totally change the sound of their voice and throw in some digital sounds in the background.
I talked about how angry I was at the fact that the Jonas Brothers have been compared to The Beatles. No one will ever be on the same level that The Beatles are on. The Jonas Brothers have no real talent. They are funny looking and untalented. Ugh. I was angry when I was ranting about them before, and then I was even angrier because I lost my whole post, and now I'm getting angry thinking about them again. I think it’s best that I just quit. Ta ta.

Just An Update
I am really behind on my blog. I am really behind on life. I came down here doing lunch to do this. The librarians won't let me eat my turkey sandwich. I need to stop eating turkey sandwiches for lunch because they make me fall asleep during 5th period. Which is AP Calc, so that is not a good class to fall asleep in. I never have any time for myself anymore. Ahhhh! What do I do with my 24 hours each day? Well on weekdays 6 of it goes to school, 3 to 5 of it goes to volleyball (depending on whether we have a game or not), 1 of them go to eating breakfast and dinner, 7 of it goes to sleeping, 2 of it goes to showering and getting ready, and 3 of it goes to homework. My life is so crazy right now. I put in over 30 hours a week to volleyball. Our team is really good this year. Our record is 14 and 3. Our 3 losses were all to the same team, Southern. We made it to States. We really want to get seated high enough to host. Our Coach, Zuech, said he'll get a tattoo on his left thigh if we win. His right thigh is for a tattoo if his lacrosse team wins states.
Homecoming is tomorrow. I'm excited. I love my dress. It's black with a floral print. Here's the link: http://www.edressme.com/d939.html . I got really hot black heels too. They have a wedge heel, and I'm normal not a fan of wedge heels, but these are hot! I'll let you guys know how it goes. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with blogging. That means my computer will stop acting like it is ten years old and start acting like it's only a year and a half old, which it is. It got really slow the beginning of the school year, but we had a family friend come over and do some stuff and it was working as fast as lightning. It's slow again. No one knows why. Maybe my little sister is going on sites and downloading stuff. We'll never know.

Not A Good Way To Start My Day
Yesterday were the PSATs at school. It is for sophomores and juniors and it is during the first couple of periods. Since freshmen and seniors do not have to take the PSATs we got to come in late. Homeroom for us started at 10:20. I started my morning at 6:30am, only an hour later than I normally get up. I was hoping I would get to sleep until at least 8am, but my sister woke me up getting ready for school. I made myself a huge breakfast of sausage, eggs, bacon, and pancakes. After I ate I got ready and then went downstairs to sit on the couch and do some homework. My dog Max was sitting on the couch next to me. He started rubbing the right side of is face against the couch furiously. He would stop and then start up again. The third time he did it I went over to him to rub his early and scratch his face for him because I thought he had an itch. He would not let me touch him, it was so odd. I sat back down and instead of doing my homework i watched him carefully. He kept rubbing his right side up against the couch. Then he got up of the couch and went into the kitchen. After 30 seconds he got back up and went to his bed. The he would go back up on the couch. He started breathing faster and heavier and he kept pacing all over the house. He started whining, and i got so worried. I called both of my parents who were at work and told them there was something wrong. Max is pretty old, and I was worried he was having an episode like my older dog did. Well my dad came home from work and looked at Max. He put a cleaner in Max's ear and after a little while he started to calm down. He is okay now, thank goodness. We think that since he was outside a bug crawled in his ear and Max either shook him out or the cleaner killed it. It was such a scary morning, but I went to school and the rest of my day was just peachy.
