Rachel's Birthday Present

Today was a busy day. I had volleyball after school. We had gotten Monday and yesterday off since we do not have our first States game until next Thursday. I was getting used to coming home nice and early, even if it was only for two days. As soon as I got home today I went out to get some materials to make my friend a birthday present.
Rachel's birthday is on Friday, Halloween. Every year she has friends and family over before the parade and we all go sit with each other and watch the parade. I have been thinking so hard about what to get her. It seems that the older people get the harder it is to get them a present. I have a really good idea; I'm quite excited about it. I've made one of these for myself before, and it turned out great. I don't want to say what it is though. I doubt she'll find my blog in search for what I’m making her, but I’ll be on the safe side.
After I got home from getting the materials I ate and then had to be back at the school for a meeting to plan out the pep rally next week. Rachel was there and I told her I was making her a present. That scared her, mostly because of what I made her last year. Rachel's boyfriend Pete makes a face. He calls it "bunny face" and he absolutely hates it. At North's homecoming last year I took Pete aside so that I could take a picture of him making the face. I was not sure how I was going to use the picture until it got closer to Rachel’s birthday. I bought a pillow and the sheets to iron on pictures from your computer. I blew up the picture of Pete’s face to cover almost the entire side of the pillow. Pete thought the pillow was awesome, and Rachel could not deny it was pretty cool herself. I decided to take it easy on her this year. She'll like this. It's cute.

heyy. So this post isnt about the blog i'm posting it on, but its the book one. the Curque du Freak series sounds like my kind of books. I started reading the twilight series when they first came out, but i've pretty much grown out of vampire books. the starting line you quoted, ' the started like any other, on the toilet," just grabbed me, because i love funny stories.

That's cool, I always hand make the birthday presents for my friends. Usually I crochet them super cool blankets. Last year I made a pillow with my face on it for one of my friends, it's a great idea. Since Halloween is over can I know what the present was? I hate suspense. =P
